Welcome to the last newsletter for term 2.  It is amazing how quick this year is flying by.  Now that we are past the shortest day we can only hope that the weather starts to pick up and we get some reprieve from the rain, especially for the holidays.  We do hope that you all have a safe and happy holiday and that the children come back to school with recharged batteries ready for another exciting term.

Netball Tournaments

Our senior girls have been very busy lately with two tournaments plus their regular Saturday morning games.

Our senior team played in the Inter-school Netball Tournament in some fine but cold weather. This was a full day of netball and the girls played a total of six games. Well done girls for playing so hard right to the end.

They also played in the Upper Hutt Junior Netball Tournament on a very wintery Sunday.  With having to deal with constant rain and some torrential down pours they played some excellent netball.  Thanks to our parents who came and supported our team on a miserable day.  A big thanks to Angela Murphy and Karen Bevan for coaching and umpiring the senior team.

A big congratulation to Milla Tarawhiti and Kelsi Bevan for their netball team Valley Fronds taking out the trophy for the Upper Hutt Junior Netball Tournament.

A reminder to parents to hand in their “sponsor a goal cards” and money to their coaches please.
