Welcome to the start of another term.  Hopefully the days will start to get a little lighter and longer from now on.  Welcome to our new students and their families who have joined our school over the break. Hopefully all the children have returned to school well rested and ready for what will be another busy term. The term starts with parent/child conferences in week two and then we have ERO arriving at school in week three.

Parent/Child Conferences

If you have not already made your time for the parent/child conferences please do so as soon as possible.  If you are having any trouble accessing the site to make your booking the office ladies will be only too pleased to help you out. For those who may have mislaid the site and code here it is again.

House Competition – Holiday Programme

Over the holidays many children took part in the holiday programme.  The house captains are now beginning to collate the points. If you have not already handed in your completed sheet please do as soon as possible.

 

Board Meeting

The next Board meeting will be held next Monday 26th July at 7pm in the school staffroom. All parents/caregivers welcome to come along.

 

PTA Meeting

The next PTA meeting will be held on Wednesday 28th July 2pm in the Library, all welcome.

 

Emergency Food Packs - Reminder

At the end of last term we sent out a challenge for all children to make an emergency food pack over the holidays.  This pack is to be kept as school in case of an emergency.  Remember this pack will be stored for 12 months so it must contain only non perishable food items.  An ice-cream container with your child’s name on the outside is an excellent size.

events for young and old.  Last year we had 25 from T.P. School.

Unihoc

By now all the Unihoc players would have received notices with details about their team for this season.  Please keep them in a safe place.  If you have not already paid, the Unihoc subs are now overdue.  Please pay by Friday 23rd or we cannot guarantee your child’s place in the team.  The subs are $35 payable to the school at the school office.  Thank you.   Also, could parents/caregivers of the New Stars and Blacksticks teams please consider taking on a manager role.  Without a manager, we cannot enter a team, so will have to withdraw.  We need to have a manager for each of these teams by Friday 23rd.  

We have 6 teams this season (a record!) which is awesome.  If your child would like to play, and is not yet in a team, there are still a couple of places left.  So please contact Heather Clegg on 526 3500.  The season starts on Monday August 9th.

 

Flipperball

All 10 team members for the Flipperball team received notices about the game on Monday.  Please keep them safe.  The $33 subs are now overdue – please pay by Friday 23rd to the school office, if you have not already done so.  Thank you.  The first game is Tuesday 10th August.  If you have any questions, please contact Heather Clegg 526 3500.

Please sign slip and return to your child’s teacher when they have read the newsletter with you. The slip will go into a draw for a prize at Assembly every fortnight. Please remember to put all your children’s names on the slip.
